Acts 22:1–29: In The Waiting… God’s Call On Your Life With Respect To Others — Ps Rainer Scharli — 02 Aug 2026

• Trust God’s timing for your calling: God may place a desire in your heart long before the opportunity to step fully into it. Waiting does not mean God has said “no”; sometimes He is preparing you, others and the circumstances around you. Trust His timing rather than becoming discouraged or trying to force the next step.

• Serve faithfully while you are waiting: Do not sit on the sidelines because you are waiting for your own opportunity. Serving in someone else’s vision develops humility, resilience, teamwork and the ability to follow well. Nothing is wasted when you faithfully serve Christ and support what He is doing through others.

• Use the gifts and experiences God has given you: Your background, story and experiences can become valuable tools for connecting with people and sharing the gospel. Be curious about others, listen well, learn from different cultures and look for common ground rather than focusing on differences. God can use what you already have to open meaningful opportunities.

• Let your life support the message you share: Sharing the gospel is not about forcing conversations or trying to achieve an outcome too quickly. Build genuine relationships, be trustworthy and allow people to see God at work in your life. Sometimes the way we live and the relationships we build create opportunities for the right words to be heard at the right time.

• Follow the Holy Spirit with courage and sacrifice: Paul, Timothy and Philip each responded to opportunities to serve and witness even when it required personal sacrifice or discomfort. Following God may stretch us, but the Holy Spirit gives us opportunities to step beyond our natural limitations and trust God with the outcome.

• Discover who you are in Christ by taking the next step: You do not need to know the whole journey before you begin. God is continually shaping and revealing who you are in Christ as you trust Him, respond to His leading and remain faithful through both good and difficult seasons. Keep moving forward, knowing that God is at work in every part of the journey.
