📌✨ Milestones and Memorable Moments

Prayer, Fasting & Vision Sunday — Beginning 2026

Living Waters Community Church entered 2026 with a dedicated week of Prayer and Fasting from 9 to 15 February. Throughout the week, the church journeyed together through daily devotions and prayer points shared across our platforms, supported by pastoral guidance on how to fast and the different types of fasting.

The daily devotions were titled as follows:

  • Day 1 — Walking in Truth and Love
  • Day 2 — Growing into Christlikeness
  • Day 3 — Purity & Holiness
  • Day 4 — Boldness & Witness
  • Day 5 — Strength Through Connection
  • Day 6 — Freedom from Sin and Bondage
  • Day 7 — Love That Builds the Church

The week concluded with Vision Sunday on 15 February 2026, where the church gathered to reflect on God’s leading and receive the focus for 2026: “Cultivate and Care.” This theme invites us to grow intentionally in discipleship and to nurture what God has entrusted to us.

After the service, the congregation broke the fast together with soup and dessert, enjoying a warm time of fellowship and gratitude.

It was a meaningful start to 2026 as we sought God together and stepped forward with renewed purpose.

Pastors Appreciation Surprise — 7 Dec 2025

After the Sunday service on 7 December, the church family held a surprise appreciation dinner to encourage and honour the pastors for their faithful service throughout the year.

What is normally a simple time of fellowship over light refreshments became a warm and thoughtful gathering, complete with dinner, dessert, and small gifts prepared in secret by the congregation.

The gesture reflected the heart of the church community — expressing gratitude, offering support, and caring for those who also carry the responsibility of caring for others. It was a meaningful moment of mutual encouragement and a reminder of the strong relationships being built within the church.

Street Aid Christmas Project — Oct to Dec 2025

Living Waters Community Church ran its Christmas Community Project in partnership with Street Aid’s Christmas Hub, supporting individuals and families experiencing need during the season.

From early October through to the final collection day on 7 December, the church gathered gifts, food items, clothing, and essential supplies during Sunday services. These donations were then delivered to Street Aid to assist their work with people facing hardship in the local community.

The project provided a practical way for our church family to contribute together and to extend care to those doing it tough at Christmas.

Ladies’ Night Out — 29 Nov 2025

Our church hosted a joyful Ladies’ Night Out, bringing together women for an evening of fellowship and fun. The group enjoyed Korean BBQ, shared laughter over gelato, and celebrated the joy of being together.

The night was filled with thoughtful touches, including Christmas gifts and handmade stockings, making the gathering extra special.

This occasion reflected the heart of the church — building relationships, sharing God’s love, and delighting in the blessings of fellowship. ✨

Water Baptism Day — 9 Nov 2025

Living Waters Community Church celebrated a joyful Water Baptism Day at Woodman Point, marking a powerful moment of transformation and public declaration of faith.

The ocean baptism was a beautiful display of God’s love and faithfulness, as individuals took steps to follow Jesus and embrace new life in Him. After the baptism, the church family gathered for food, fellowship, and uplifting conversations — a time of celebration and connection.

This occasion reflected the heart of the church: seeing lives transformed, building community, and glorifying God together.

Men’s Night Out — 7 Nov 2025

Our church hosted a Men’s Night Out, bringing together members for an evening of connection and recreation. The group enjoyed time at the driving range followed by a casual meal — a relaxed setting for fun, food, and fellowship.

Events like these provide meaningful opportunities for men in the church to build relationships, encourage one another, and grow in community. We’re looking forward to more gatherings that strengthen bonds and reflect the joy of walking together in faith.

Teacher Appreciation Day — 31 Oct 2025

Living Waters Community Church hosted its first Teacher Appreciation Day morning tea at Forrestdale Primary School — a heartfelt initiative to honour and encourage those who invest daily in the lives of the next generation.

The staff were presented with a gift and a certificate of appreciation, expressing gratitude for their dedication and care. The event was lovingly prepared and served by members of the church, who contributed through planning, setup, food preparation, and hospitality — a beautiful expression of love in action.

This outreach reflected the church’s desire to bless the wider community and shine the light of Jesus in practical ways. 🌟

Thanksgiving Offering — 24 Aug 2025

On 24 Aug 2025, Living Waters Community Church held its first Thanksgiving Offering Service.

The offering was dedicated to supporting local missions, including initiatives such as Street Aid, the Forrestdale Primary School Breakfast Club, Appreciation Days for Teachers, and resources for our church. With hearts aligned to our vision of “Transforming Lives for Kingdom Living,” the congregation sowed seeds of hope into projects that bring restoration and healing to our community.

A stunning fruit basket 🍍🍓, overflowing with vibrant colours and real fruits stood at the heart of the offering moment. As envelopes were gently placed onto it, the basket became a radiant symbol of generosity, abundance, and thanksgiving.

The service was also marked by heartfelt declarations of gratitude from our children, who lined up and took turns at the microphone to say, “I thank God for ___.” Each child received a special gift from the pastor.

After the service, the church gathered for soup and dessert, closing out a week of prayer and fasting with warmth and fellowship.

We’re overjoyed to share that the financial goal for the Thanksgiving Offering was exceeded 🎉 — a testimony to God’s provision and the faithfulness of His people.

Media Milestones — 3rd Quarter 2025

Our church reached two key media milestones during this period.

Firstly, LWCC sermons became available on Spotify, allowing members and the wider community to access our audio sermons anytime.

Secondly, we launched our new website, providing a central hub for information about the church, updates on activities, and ways for people to stay connected with our community. The sermons can also be listened to on the website.

These developments mark important steps in sharing our church’s message and mission beyond Sunday services.

Life Group — 2025

Earlier in 2025, our church ran a Life Group series based on The Joy Switch by Chris Coursey. Meeting every fortnight on Wednesdays, participants explored how the brain’s “joy switch” affects relationships and learned practical ways to maintain healthy emotions.

Later in the year, the same Life Group continued with Soul Care by Rob Reimer, providing a space for participants to reflect on personal growth, healing, and faith.

These gatherings have offered participants an ongoing opportunity to connect with others, discuss the material, and develop practical tools for life and relationships.
