Cherished Past Events

📌✨ Milestones and Memorable Moments

First Birthday Celebration — 6 Apr 2025

Our church celebrated its first birthday with a joyful gathering. The event included worship, personal testimonials, a grazing table, cake, face painting, kids’ activities, and time for fellowship, marking a year of growth and community life.

Baptism Sunday — 16 Mar 2025

We celebrated Baptism Sunday on 16 Mar 2025. It was a joy to witness members taking their first steps of faith to follow Jesus, marking a significant milestone in their spiritual journey.

The celebration took place at Woodman Point Beach, beginning with testimonies and moving into water baptism. Afterwards, the church family gathered on the grass in joyful fellowship, sharing food and drinks.

Closing 2024, Beginning 2025

We concluded 2024 with a special Anointing Service. Prayers and prophetic words were shared to encourage and strengthen the congregation for the year ahead.

Along with friends from the Southern Cross Association of Churches (SCAC) and Gracelife Church, we supported the occasion through prayer, encouragement, and practical help, making it a memorable close to the first year of the church plant.

Following the service, the church entered into 7 Days of Prayer and Fasting. The week invited participants to set aside time for daily devotion, prayer, and reflection, seeking renewal and breakthrough, and providing space to engage with the Word and allow the Holy Spirit to shape hearts and minds.

This season of prayer and fasting culminated in Vision Sunday, where the church shared its plans and direction for the year ahead, grounded in the theme “Depth and Fruitfulness” from Jeremiah 17:7-8.

Starick Christmas Project — 30 Nov 2024

In the lead-up to Christmas 2024, Living Waters Community Church partnered with Starick — an organisation supporting women and children escaping domestic and family violence — to help bring hope during the season.

Our church family donated and purchased gifts for children, teenagers, and women, as well as Christmas food items for hampers. These contributions were shared with Starick families as a reminder that they were seen, valued, and loved during what can otherwise be a difficult season.

Six Months at LWCC — 6 Oct 2024

On 6 Oct 2024, Living Waters Community Church reached its six-month milestone since launch — a time to give thanks for God’s favour, goodness, and grace upon our church.

The service on that day included communion, where a moving poem titled Just Because was shared — a reflection on the cross and what Jesus has done for us. Ps Rainer brought a message from 1 Kings 19:1–18, titled God, You and a Tree, encouraging us to step out from the shade and back into the Great Commission.

A Christmas community initiative was also launched, giving opportunities to bless others in the weeks that followed. After the service, the church family celebrated with food, cake, and fellowship. The pastors were honoured with a special gift in recognition of their faithfulness and obedience in starting the church.

Alpha Course — 24 Jul 2024

Our church ran the Alpha course over 11 sessions in Life Group gatherings, meeting every fortnight on Wednesday evenings starting 24 Jul 2024. It provided a space to share meals, watch the Alpha talks, and discuss questions about life, faith, and Jesus.

Participants were encouraged to bring a plate of food to share.

First Service at New Location — 30 Jun 2024

On 30 Jun 2024, Living Waters Community Church held its first Sunday service at Carey Baptist College in Harrisdale, moving from its earlier venue at Novelli Pavilion. The service took place in Carey’s drama auditorium at 4pm.

The launch at the new venue was well supported, with the team working together to organise the service and welcome five new visitors. The program included worship led by younger members of the church, followed by a message from Ps Karen on keeping the faith from 2 Timothy 4:7–8.

Family Movie Night — 23 Jun 2024

On 23 Jun 2024, our church family gathered for a movie afternoon with pizza and fellowship. We watched Breakthrough — a true story that highlights the power of faith in difficult circumstances.

Families brought their own snacks and beanbags, and everyone enjoyed a relaxed and welcoming time together.

Breakfast Club at FPS — 23 May 2024

Shortly after the launch of Living Waters Community Church, we began supporting the Breakfast Club at Forrestdale Primary School (FPS), where Pastor Karen serves as Chaplain.

Volunteers, including Pastor Karen, prepare and serve breakfast, providing students with a welcoming space to eat, socialise, and assist with setup and cleanup.

The programme is supported by parents, Foodbank WA, our church, and other local partnerships.

Church Launch Service — 7 Apr 2024

Living Waters Community Church was officially launched on 7 Apr 2024 at Novelli Pavilion, Piara Waters.

The service included prayers of dedication from Dr. John McElroy (Southern Cross Centre) and Ps. Josh Fernandez (Gracelife Church), marking the beginning of this new chapter.

Our launch team and volunteers helped prepare and serve on the day, and the service was supported by worship from the Miraclepoint Church team.

This marked the first official Sunday service of Living Waters Community Church, beginning with a teaching series from the book of Philippians.
