Matthew 11:28–30: Find Rest For Your Soul In Christ — Rev Dr Stephen Tee — 6 Nov 2025

• Come to Jesus for True Rest: Christ personally invites the weary, burdened and exhausted to come to Him—not to religion or ritual—promising real rest for the soul in seasons of sickness, loss, stress, fear and uncertainty.

• See Trials Through God’s Perspective: Challenges, pressures and painful seasons reveal that we are alive, thinking, and in need of God. Trials draw believers closer to Him, awaken prayer, and shape us into Christ’s image.

• Take Jesus’ Yoke and Walk in Unison: Rest comes when believers willingly take up Christ’s yoke—working side‑by‑side with Him, step‑by‑step, surrendering personal will and learning to move in His strength rather than their own.

• Learn From Jesus’ Heart and Character: Jesus is meek and lowly in heart; His gentleness becomes our model. Rest grows as believers cultivate relationship, fellowship, prayer and obedience—not merely knowledge or religious duty.

• Let Christ Refresh Both Body and Soul: Jesus gives physical, emotional and spiritual renewal. His rest resets the weary, strengthens the broken, heals inner wounds, and empowers believers to continue their journey with hope.

• Trust God’s Plan and Kill “My Way”: Rest requires submitting to God’s perfect will rather than living by personal plans or self‑reliance. As believers die to self and allow Christ to live through them, they overcome life’s battles and walk in His peace.
