• Strengthen the Weak and Build Each Other Up: Paul urges mature believers to support those who are struggling, choosing selflessness over self‑pleasing. Just as Christ carried our burdens, the church is called to lift others, encourage them and help them grow in faith.
• Pursue Unity of Mind and Heart: True unity is not uniformity — it is shared purpose. Paul calls believers to be “one mind and one mouth,” glorifying God together. Unity grows when the church welcomes others warmly, removes barriers and looks for common ground rather than differences.
• Live Selflessly Like Christ: Jesus never lived for Himself; He served the Father’s mission and laid down His life for others. Paul reminds the church to follow this example — serving without expecting return, loving without condition and trusting God to meet personal needs.
• Minister Spiritually and Practically: Paul celebrates churches who cared for both spiritual and material needs. He encourages believers to meet real‑world needs generously, knowing that practical kindness can open hearts to God’s love and reflect Christ’s compassion.
• Strive Together in Prayer: Paul asks the church to pray earnestly for him, showing that leaders also need support. Striving in prayer means standing with one another, carrying burdens, interceding with sincerity and believing together for breakthrough and protection.
• Honour Every Labourer in God’s Family: Romans 16 highlights men and women who served faithfully in the early church. Paul’s long list of greetings shows that every believer matters, every contribution counts and unity grows when the church values, encourages and honours one another.
