• Empty chairs speak of pain, but God sees them differently: Emotional, relational and spiritual “empty chairs” — loss, disappointment, unanswered prayers, loneliness — become places where God brings promise, presence and healing.
• Jesus came to fill what was empty: When humanity was spiritually disconnected and the world was dark, Jesus came as the true Saviour to restore relationship, bring light into chaos and fill the emptiness of the human heart.
• Jesus offers peace the world cannot give: True peace isn’t found in distractions, comfort, busyness or temporary relief. Christ gives a peace that steadies the heart and remains through grief, stress and uncertainty.
• Make room for the Prince of Peace: Many believe in Jesus but don’t give Him space in decisions, emotions or daily life. Peace grows when believers slow down, sit with Him, listen, surrender burdens and allow His presence into the empty places.
• Biblical peace (shalom) brings wholeness and restoration: Shalom is not the absence of trouble but the presence of God. It is possible to grieve deeply and still be held securely as Jesus walks with us through valleys and transforms tears into prayer and weakness into strength.
• Christ fills the empty chair with hope and healing: When Jesus is invited into the empty space, grief is transformed rather than erased. The “empty chair” becomes the “peace chair,” reminding us of who is still present. God promises restoration, closeness and a future where every empty space is filled in His Kingdom.
